Magnelis is a metallic coating that is applied to the surface of a product to protect it from corrosion. The specially formulated chemical composition of the Magnelis coating (3% Mg and 3.5% Al), provides a high level of protection for the surface and cut edges, as well as areas subject to high deformation. The compact coating acts as a barrier to prevent contact between the steel and its surroundings, thereby preventing corrosion. The protective layer can be applied to a wide range of steel surfaces including steel for cold forming, deep drawing, as well as structural steel and high-strength, low-alloy steel.
